Strawberry Cough: Ripe Strawberry With Herbal Freshness and an Earthy-Wood Close
Strawberry Cough has a specific dual character that distinguishes it from a plain strawberry profile: the fruit is sweet and present, but underneath it there’s always a fresh herbal note and an earthy-wood close. That layered combination is what makes it a strain profile rather than a fruit flavoring. This blend opens with sweet, ripe strawberries — clean, genuine fruit character. The midrange transitions to fresh herbs and subtle floral accents: the “cough” element, the green-botanical lift that cuts through the sweetness. The base settles on earthy spice and gentle wood — grounded and dry.
If you want strawberry with botanical depth rather than pure confectionery sweetness, this is the correct profile.
Why This Profile Stands Out
- 100% terpene blend — no carriers, no CBD, no THC, no synthetic fillers
- Strain-faithful construction — the herbal midrange is deliberate and accurate to the Strawberry Cough aromatic character
- Fruit-plus-botanical structure — the earthy-wood base prevents this from reading as a dessert flavoring
- Lab-verified purity — third-party tested, UV-protected glass
The strain-specific combination of fruity and herbal terpene compounds that defines Strawberry Cough is addressable at the chemotype level. The research framework for understanding how floral and green-herbal terpenes interact with fruit-forward ones is in Frontiers in Plant Science.
Aroma and Flavor Profile
- Top notes: Sweet ripe strawberries
- Middle notes: Fresh herbs and subtle floral accents
- Base notes: Hints of earthy spice and gentle wood
The fresh-herb midrange is what distinguishes this from Strawberry Shortcake in the catalog — one is a dessert profile, the other is botanical. For the compound chemistry behind strawberry-fruit and herbal terpene combinations, the Journal of Agricultural and Food Chemistry is the standard reference.
Best Uses and How to Mix
Per the Mixing 101 guide: start at 1–5% by product weight, add in 0.5–1% increments, and never exceed 8%.
- 2–3% recommended: the strawberry top and herbal midrange both register clearly at this range; above 3%, the earthy base becomes more prominent
- Pairs well with: a pine or cedar profile to amplify the botanical direction; or a plain strawberry profile to soften the herb notes if a sweeter character is needed
- Best applications: strain-faithful product development, botanical personal care products, fruit-herb candle blends, flavored beverage development
Quality and Handling
- 100% plant-derived aromatic terpenes, no synthetic additives
- Third-party lab tested for purity and batch consistency
- UV-protected glass — the strawberry top notes and herbal midrange components are both light-sensitive
- Available 2mL through 100mL
The chromatographic identification of herbal terpene compounds like terpinolene and ocimene in a strawberry-fruit context requires the separation methods documented in the Journal of Chromatography A.

This one is definitely my favorite. Excellent sweet strawberry flavor with a nice herbal taste mixed in. Already almost out, will need to pick up another order of this.

I couldn’t think of how to describe the background notes past the strawberry taste I was tasting, but the other guy worded it well, it has a nice herbal taste, as well as a notes of strawberry which I immediately taste after dabbing. I definitely recommend this if you want a more “weedy” tasting strawberry terpene.
